Jillian Lisi - Medical Aesthetician Jillian is a native of Arizona and has been an aesthetician for the past 5 years. She is a former Cardinals Cheerleader and was a member of the Arizona State Dance Team. Jilll received her aesthetics license after receiving her Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Arizona State University in 2003. Her love of skin care and belief in continued education brought her to receive her laser certification in 2005, and has since received extensive training in such treatments Foto-Facials, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, and Laser Hair Removal. In addition, she is an expert in various skin care lines including: Obagi, PCA, Skin Ceuticals, Rhonda Allison, and Kinerase. Waxing removes unwanted hair on the face, legs, arms, back and bikini area. Waxing removes hairs slightly below the surface of the skin encouraging a softer non-stubbly re-growth. Results can last from three to five weeks. Some patients have reported an actual decrease of hair re-growth in areas treated over time with professional waxing.
Laser Hair Removal is the latest technique in hair removal. Intense pulsed light targets unwanted hair resulting in permanent damage or destruction of the hair follicle.Current studies are showing 81% to 90% of non re-growth of effectively treated hairs.Only actively growing hairs are affected, therefore a series of treatments are recommended. Sclerotherapy is an effective treatment for the removal of spider veins and small varicose veins. A small amount of solution is injected into a vein using a very fine needle. The solution causes the vein to close up and collapse. The medication used in the treatment contains a substance that has a numbing effect. Treatments generally take a half an hour. Additional treatments may be required depending on the severity of the problem and can be scheduled two to four weeks apart.
Blue Light Photodynamic Therapy is a special treatment performed by applying the photosensitizing agent Aminolevulnic Acid (ALA) to the skin and activating it with theBlu-U Light. Skin peeling occurs for several days after the treatment. The treatment damage, fine lines, and blotchy pigmentation are also improved because of the positive effect of ALA and the light treatment. This combination has the unique ability to minimize pores and reduce oil glands, effectively treating stubborn acne vulgaris, acne rosacea, and improve the appearance of some acne scars.
The Blu-U is a very special blue light that is used to destroy the bacteria associated with moderate acne. The Blu-U Treatments are simple; you sit with your face close to the light for a short time at a schedule set up by your doctor. Treatments are usually limited to 15-minute sessions once or twice a week. The treatments may go on for five weeks or so.
